Ah, so, a landlocked trip for me this day! Not that there is anything wrong with that I suppose, it is just that the wonders of the land pale in comparison to the treasures of the sea. Or, perhaps, I only feel as such because I have oh so rarely even been on land. Just during my adventures a few years back. These days I mostly take to the seas, seeking out the few vessels that pass and grabbing hold.

Ah, it is a shame the skies have become more important than the seas to most folk. It makes my job easier, too easy really! But then, I cannot imagine a life without the waters, a life with the ones upon land. They are... interesting in their ways and yet, as foreign to me as I am to them. Perhaps I should indulge a bit ore in these trips? What harm could it do?

It is often amusing when people fear my presence anyways. Highly so. I have a responsibility to my ship and crew, for they are my family and my home. I shall always return to them. But I do sometimes have a weakness for wondering upon where different paths might lead.

Ah well, the only path I care for is my own and that of my crew. Let Neptune himself fight us, it shall be my path! *smiles broadly*

I do, however, sometimes wonder upon other folks my age. Or even gender. I suppose in the end I'm only human. But these silly questions shall not change my path.

After this trip to Balamb... who knows? Back to the seas I shall go and conquer, it is where I belong. The land is but a temporary man.
